General Membership Meeting

The Annual Meeting of Home Care Across Illinois was called to order by Ruth Ann Flowers, President at 11:45 AM.

 

Minutes of November 18, 2005 Annual meeting was disseminated to those present.  Motion to approve minutes was made by Gail Ripka seconded by John Pickering.  Motion carried.

 

Treasurer’s report given by Gail Ripka, the current balance is $2,225.57.  This does not include any income or expenses from today’s workshop.  Motion to approve the treasurer’s report made by Maxine Barth, seconded by Mary Reed.  Motion carried.

 

Legislative Report- Peg Murphy reported that CMS is looking at Home Care Agencies receiving a 3% rural add on and cutting physician oversight payments by 5%.

 

Web Site-Jeff Workman, HCAI web site www.HCAI.org.  Jeff Workman queried the members if they had any suggestion for the web site to please email him.  Jeff states we could put a place on the web site for links and resources.  Jeff will look into getting that set up.  Barb Tackitt said it was easy for her to use the web site could be very beneficial for agencies.

 

Ruth Ann Flowers presented the slate of officers as follows: President-elect-Mark Hilliard, Secretary-Mary Reed, Board Members – Therese Macias, Jeff Workman, John Pickering, Teresa Smith, Maxine Barth and Ruth Ann Flowers-Past President.  The new officers were introduced and installed. 

 

Ruth Ann Flowers presented the awards as follows:

 

Home Care Nurse of the Year- Charlene Sovanski, from Henry-Stark County health Department.

Home Care Biller/IT Person of the Year- Christine Royer, Henderson County Health Department

Home Care Therapist of the Year- Gerald Segar, Jo Daviess County Health Department.

Home Care Aide of the Year- Jennifer Calef, from Henry-Stark County Health Department.

Home Care Director of the Year- Barb Tackitt, Clay County Health Department

Home Care Director of the Year- Beverly A. Kofoot, Ford-Iroquois Health Department

 

In appreciation of Your Leadership & Service presented to Ruth Ann Flowers, President.

 

 

 

 

 

Motion to adjourn made by John Pickering seconded by Mary Reed.   Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
